Tomorrow night at 8:00pm, we will be playing a stripped down, extended set at the Waltz-Astoria in (duh) Astoria, Queens. This is our first home-neighborhood gig, so we've been working hard to put together a real unique and memorable set. You're not going to want to miss out on this.
Also, don't forget that we'll be playing the NYC Alternarock Festival on Saturday November 19th at Local 269. That show is going to be BIG. But for now, lets focus on the small... and all the exciting stuff we have planned for tomorrow. Hope to see you all there! Andy on Sirius! Anatoliy in the Studio!
Here's a double dose of ottpkTV for you fine folks. Episode 3 is a continuation of the insanity of recording our demo - and what happens when Steve goes off the deep end. And Episode 4 is a look at Andy's appearance on "Whatever with Jennifer Hutt" on SiriusXM. That one is a real doozy. And a real head scratcher.
But enough talking. Here are the videos. And don't forget! We have a show tomorrow! Hope to see you there. Show Updates for October and November![]() We've got one show scheduled for October, and that will be on Friday October 21st and 8:00 pm at Connolly's Pub Klub 45 in Midtown Manhattan. Looking forward to November, we'll be playing two VERY different shows. Our first will be an intimate semi-accoustic gig at Waltz-Astoria on Saturday November 5th. We can guarantee that this will be unlike any Off The Turnpike show you go to this year. After that, we're proud announce that we'll be a part of the New York City Alternarock Festival held at Local 269. We'll be playing on the final night of the Festival, Saturday November 19th. We can only assume we're playing the last night because they know very few bands can follow us. So mark your calendars, and be sure to check back for more information on these shows and much, much more in the coming weeks. See you at the shows! VIDEO: Rampage (Live at Alphabet Lounge 9/2/11)

Photos from Last Week's Show at The Trash Bar![]() As we gear up for our "first" show tomorrow night at Alphabet Lounge, we wanted to point you in the direction of some photos from our impromptu gig last week at The Trash Bar. They're up on our Facebook page, so click here to check them out. (And a HUGE thanks to our friends in nevereven for setting us up with that show. It was an absolute blast, and we could ask for a better band to play with. So check them out!) We'll be beefing up this site with some photos in the coming days, but this is the internet, you're not supposed to have to wait for stuff. And we'll see you TOMORROW at the Alphabet Lounge! The First Show![]() Friday, September 2nd, 2011 at 7:30 The Alphabet Lounge +21, $10 at the door RSVP on Facebook You're not ready. Here We Go
After something of a false start, we wanted to take our time with this one... but we really couldn't wait any longer. We'd like to introduce the last piece of the puzzle, vocalist ANDY SEXTON!
Off The Turnpike is shifting into high gear, and you'll be hearing a lot from us in the coming weeks. But you're not here to hear about vague upcoming plans... you're hear to hear some awesome tunes! So without further ado, an early "leak" of our song "Uncertainty" that we recorded at practice last week. Songs Without Words
While we continue to look high and low for the perfect singer to complete our merry band, we've been getting a little antsy about getting out and playing some music for people.
So, next Thursday (June 16th), Christian and Shawn are sneaking out of the studio to play an instrumental set at Waltz-Astoria as part of their Songs Without Words series. The show starts at 8:00, and we'd love to see you there! For more information, and to RSVP, check out our Facebook invite. Changes, Delays, and Other Good News
When we went public last month, we were all remarkably excited to get the ball rolling on playing shows, recording some tracks, and all the other general coolness that comes with a new band. The four of us had been playing together for months, and a had a full set ready to go.
But that was then. Things have a way of never going quite as planned. Shortly after launching this site, we parted ways with singer, Eddie Slate. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors, and know that everyone will be hearing great things from him. He's an immense talent with a driving passion that will guarantee him nothing but success. But as for the rest of us, we're pressing forward, actively searching for a new member of the Off The Turnpike family. And when we find him (or her!), you'll be hearing a lot from us. Maybe a bit too much. But it will all be good news, accompanied by even better music. Studio Performance - Sway
We can't wait to get our music out to everyone, so while we make plans to get our songs on tape (or... not tape as it tends to be these days), we've put up a video of us playing our song Sway at our rehearsal space. This is one of our favorite songs to play, and we can't wait to get it out in front of crowds real soon!
EDIT: VIDEO REMOVED PENDING NEW SINGER, NEW AWESOMENESS Greetings Internet!
Welcome to our website. We're Off The Turnpike, a New York based rock band. We don't have much to report at the moment, but since you're here you might as well poke around the site a bit. There have been rumors of at least one video of us playing one of our songs. The site is pretty bare right now, but we're a brand new outfit, so keep checking back for news, and info about our first show. Oh, and music. Music is important.
